¨ These Terms and Conditions relate to the standard arrangements for courses run by Microwave and RF Solutions.
¨ Each student on a course is individually responsible for complying with these Terms and Conditions, and for ensuring that Microwave and RF Solutions receives payment as requested.
1. Payment terms
¨ Course fees are as indicated on the website unless you have received an official communication from us stating otherwise.
¨ Once accepted, a student is deemed to be personally liable for all fees due. An exception is where a sponsor (e.g. their employer) informs Microwave and RF Solutions that it accepts the liability. Notification must be in writing by an officer of that organisation who is authorised to enter into contracts on its behalf.
¨ Course fees must be paid in full in advance of the course. Payment must be made in GB Pounds Sterling. Payment can be made through the website, by cheque, or BACS. Please refer to the attached sheet (“Payment Options & VAT”) for further details.
¨ Any student attending the course or any day thereof who has not paid in full will be asked to pay the fee, using cleared funds, or leave.
2. Visa refusal refund policy
¨ The following policy applies to course bookings where the candidate requires a student visa in order to enter the UK.
¨ If you are booking for a course and are travelling from a country outside the EEA (European Economic Area) you will require a student visa in order to gain entry to the UK. You can find out more at www.ukvisas.gov.uk
¨ Please allow sufficient time before the start of your course for your visa application procedure. If you are refused a visa we will provide a full refund of course fees. In order to make the refund we will require a copy of your visa application and your notification of rejection for your visa. Where we are informed of a visa application refusal less than 29 days before the start of the programme, you will incur a £200 administration fee.
3. Cancellations, transfers and non-attendance
¨ Where an alternative course date is available it may be possible for a student to transfer. However the decision whether to accept a transfer request is at the discretion of Microwave and RF Solutions.
¨ There is no charge for cancellations, transfers, or non-attendance provided the request is received 31 or more days before the start of the course. One free transfer can be made after which there will be a £100.00 administration charge for each further request.
¨ Requests to transfer received less than 29 days prior to the start of the course will also incur the whole course free.
¨ If the participant has previously transferred from an alternative course date and then subsequently cancels from the new course date then the cancellation fee charged will revert to the balance of those applicable at the time of the original transfer.
¨ If a student fails to attend a course that they have booked, or fails to notify Microwave and RF Solutions in writing at least 29 days prior to the start date for the course that they are unable to attend, then it will be necessary for us to charge the whole fee for the course.
¨ If for any reason, a course (or part thereof) is cancelled then Microwave and RF Solutions will make every reasonable effort to give registered students as much notice as possible (normally at least 29 days prior to the due course start-date). Microwave and RF Solutions’ maximum liability will be limited to a refund of received fees for the cancelled course. For partial cancellation of a course, such refunds will be made on a pro rata basis. Microwave and RF Solutions will not accept liability for any costs or losses incurred by students or organisations which are claimed to have arisen through course cancellation, other than for those stated here.
4. Miscellaneous
¨ The course organisers may take visual and/or audio recordings of students during lectures, site visits and other related functions, and reserve the right to use these for promotional, management or educative purposes (in the United Kingdom or overseas).
¨ We also reserve the right to add anonymous quotations from feedback forms to our website and other publicity material, for marketing purposes. Students’ individual consent for this will be assumed to have been granted unless otherwise indicated by students, in writing or by email, prior to the start of each course.
¨ In the interests of all course participants, the organisers reserve the right to enforce the removal of any student from the course for breaching the terms of this agreement or for displaying behaviour or demeanour which is, in their view, unacceptable.
¨ Whilst we make every effort to ensure the accuracy of the information provided we cannot guarantee the complete absence of errors and omissions. For this reason we suggest that you do not make any decisions solely on the basis on the information supplied. The client hereby agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Microwave and RF Solutions from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, suits, losses, costs, charges, expenses, damages and liabilities whatsoever which Microwave and RF Solutions may pay, sustain, suffer or incur by reason of or in connection with the information and advice provided in the course, including, without limiting the generality of the foregoing, all costs and expenses (including legal expenses) incurred in connection with any such loss or damage.
¨ Microwave and RF Solutions reserves the right to vary these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Microwave and RF Solutions also reserves the right to vary arrangements for the delivery of programmes, such as venue, lecturer etc, and in such cases we will make reasonable efforts to inform delegates in advance.
¨ Through applying for a course applicants are deemed to have accepted the Terms and Conditions.
